Student Summary

Using the voyage of Mary Tripp as an example, students will explore what it might have been like to be a sailor working on an international trading voyage 200 years ago. Students will gain an appreciation for such voyages by interacting with ship logs and passenger journals, paintings, products, and cargo lists pertaining to Mary Tripp's voyage.
